One portfolio manager to rule them all!

If you have multiple brokerages, the most frustrating part is that you don’t have a consolidated view of all your holdings.  Of course you could use a service like Yahoo Finance or Google’s portfolio, but then you have to manually enter everything.  No free service exists that can pull information from other brokers and present a unified view.  Until now.

Enter Wikinvest Portfolio.  Free Investor ToolsWikinvest aims to be what Mint is for banks.  Sure Mint can pull data from brokerages, but the focus is on finance not portfolio management.  That’s the void Wikinvest aims to fill.

Wikinvest supports about 33 brokerages.  Most of the notable ones are there including Vanguard, Fidelity and Scottrade.

My Experience

Having 5 different brokerage accounts, I was super excited about this and signed up!  Added my WellsTrade account, waited while it started sync’ing information from WellsTrade and waited…and waited…!  After about 20 minutes, I realized it  is probably doing nothing!  Tried various browsers, same result.  Bummer!

To be fair,  this is a new service, issues like this are to be expected.  So I’ll wait till the kinks are ironed out.

Have you tried Wikinvest Portfolio?  How was your experience?

  1. Greetings,

Thanks for writing about the Wikinvest portfolio. We are currently working on getting Wells Trade working. We look forward to more of your feedback once it is up and running.

  2. Hey Tom thanks for stopping by! Let me know once Wells Trade is fixed. Would love to try it out!

  3. Hi there,

Apologies about not writing back earlier. In order for Wikinvest to sync with your WellsTrade account, you will need to go into your WellsTrade account and activate Quicken support. Wikinvest Portfolio is absolutely free of charge to use, but please be aware that WellsTrade charges $3 per month for Quicken support. Hope this helps!

  4. Hi,
I have a zecco account and the first time I opened up my wikinvest account it sync perfectly… but ever since then I have been making trades through Zecco and it’s won’t recognize them in wikinvest, how come??
